Sorry for the lack of updated information. My original plan was to sit on info for a while and make a big push right before our initial release. However, I am getting emails and comments from literally all over the world and I think it is only fair to get everyone up to speed.

First off- the rumors are true. We have been listening to you modelers and have decided to offer every figure in both pewter and resin. Even though this is great news, it has pushed our projected initial release back. We now need two sets of masters and molds.

Since these figures are turning out to be little masterpieces, Tom and I, have also become obsessed with casting quality in both materials. We have decided to take these figures beyond anything currently available. Tom has been trying some new master production techniques that are getting amazing results. We are also testing resins to get the strongest possible figure. With delicate pieces, like the gun barrels, we feel it is very important. Again- we are getting amazing results.

Here are some answers to some of your questions and comments:

1. There will be around 18 American Airborne and 18 German Grenadiers in the initial release. This will be followed up shortly by an additional 6 of each group. For you gamers you should be able to put together three very distinct squads per group. How great is that? For you modelers- I do not believe you have ever had such an awesome group to work with by any other company's first release.

2. All figures will be produced on a slot(as you can see in some of the pictures). A really nice pewter base will be included. When we were mapping out the project we had to make certain decisions that make practical sense. Due to some of the dynamic posses we felt like an attached base could present a casting problem. At the very least we felt it could be limiting. We also know that some modelers will not even need bases and some gamers like to remount on things like washers and pennies. A slot provides the best of both worlds. You can use our high quality base or you can cut the tab right off with little effort. For questions on the size of the base- Please see the picture of the painted figure that includes the other two bases. As you can see it is just slightly larger than a penny and it is really a perfect size for our 1/48th figures. It may seam silly, but Tom really took his time to produce a great base. Remember, nothing less than the highest quality throughout this line.

3. Simple assembly will be required on all these figures. In an effort to give you the ultimate realism and depth we needed to go outside a single plane when casting. There is no way to get things like the shovel handle to stick out and cast in one piece. You will get a separate sprue piece that will include things like the shovel and extra grenades(just in case you really want to load your man up). Some posses will have a separate weapon and hand with a really nice peg to mount in the sleeve. Some of the firing posses will have the mold line run right down the front of the face. To avoid problems these weapons spues will include a loose head.

4. We will be starting on the creation of the next two groups sometime in the Fall. I believe we have decided on both British and German Airborne. We want to stick with the elite units for now, mostly because they are just so cool. Also out of respect and admiration for our friends in England- I want to get you something special as early as possible.

I am including some new images to hopefully hold you over. Off course I am sitting on some- I can't help myself. Most are self-explanatory but I feel the American pathfinder is special and needs a little extra info. The figure title "Hey numb nuts- your firing on our position!!! Imagine this soldier calling in for support. When it comes in on top of them he instantly squats down, throws off his helmet, and starts barking into the hand set. The weapons sprue for this figure will off course include the radio pack and loose helmet.

Marike Reimer painted the figure in the photos. Although she is renowned in the fantasy painting world- this was her first attempted to produce camo. I think you will agree- that girl has crazy talent. Sorry about some of the slight focus problems. We were in a hurry the other day to get these shots.

Finally, this entire project is a labor of love and a work in progress. Unfortunately neither of us can give it 100% attention. Although it is practically all I think about-I have a regular job and Tom has other customers he must satisfy during this creative process. Please be patient for just a short while longer. Trust me- no one on this planet is more anxious to get this in your hands than myself.

Thanks for all your emails, questions, and comments. I truly look forward to opening my email.
